#VGEC Electrical Engineering Department organised an Industrial Visit for minor degree students as a part of minor degree course onElectric Vehicle, on 17th April, 2023 at Mindra Green Energy LLP. The main objective of visit was to make students explore new technologies in the EV automobile and Solar invertor manufacturing. At the end of the visit, question and answer session was conducted to solve students’ queries. The visit concluded with the vote of thanks and lunch for all the attendees.➡️ Learning Lessons: ◈ Solar power plant inverter types and application ◈ Manufacturing process of all types of solar on-grid inverter ◈ Testing process of all types of solar on-grid inverter ◈ EV Charger types and its application ◈ Manufacturing process of all types of EV Charger ◈ Testing process of all types of EV Charger ◈ Process from raw material to final product with packaging

➡️ #VGEC Mechanical Engineering Department had organised the Industrial Visit for us students on 14th September, 2023, at pioneer engineering services. The main objective of visit was to make us explore new technologies and all methods of the casting process. At the end of the visit, interactive session was conducted to solve student’s queries. The visit concluded with the vote of thanks.➡️ Learning Lessons: ✦ The first unit of the industry is raw material unit which including many type of raw materials with different alloy like iron, cast iron, Cr, Ni, steel, etc… ✦ The spectrometer lab is also there for checking quantity of different alloy in given product peace as per requirement. ✦ Exothermic slives are used for checking quality of material. ✦ There are also having other units like moulding unit, pattern shop unit, press unit, melting unit, knockout unit, etc… for further casting process. ✦ Primary finishing unit like hand inner or outer grinder for give semi-finishing to the product. ✦ Other units like heat treatment unit, shot blasting unit for improving quality, strength of product and give final finishing to product.

Our college #vgec had organised an industrial visit to #CIPET IPT-AHMEDABAD on 15 September, 2023.◆ We 5thsemester students of Mechanical Engineering Department of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda visited Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology (IPT), Vatva, Ahmedabad. The main objective of visit was to make students explore new technologies and automation in the field of manufacturing, testing and quality improvement. At the end of the visit, question and answer session was conducted to solve students’ queries.◆ Learning Lessons/Discussion Points : ▶ Injection moulding process, which minimizes moulding cost and is a highly repeatable way of producing plastic and elastomer parts with high precision. ▶ Method of compounding, for mixing various materials (polymers, additives, etc.) by compounding machine. ▶ Extrusion blow moulding, used for creating medium to large hollow parts with complex shapes by inflating softened thermoplastic hollow parison against a cooled surface of a closed mould. ▶ Various types of defects arising during moulding process, their causes and procedures for avoiding these defects.Inspection and evaluation of moulds and dies for identifying and rectifying any deviation and defects. ▶ Operating processes on CNC lathe machine, CNC milling machine, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), 3D Printer, etc. ▶ Design procedure of moulds used for injection moulding and blow moulding. ▶ Creating 3D model or measuring contours and scanning an entire shape by making use of Blue Light 3D scanner.

#VGEC chandkheda held important industrial visit atSHILP GRAVURES LTD. (778/6, Pramukh Industrial Estate, Sola-Santej Road, Rakanpur, Ta Kalol, Dist. Gandhinagar) on 7 jan-2023 date.➤ They are pioneer in flexible & engraving printing in India & African continent. They are giving there services in fields like security printing, embossing & laser printing. The processes we had seen there are like : ◉ Gravure : ► Pre Press ► MS Base roller ► Electroplating & Polishing ► Electronic Engraving ► Proofing ► Laboratory ◉ Applications : ► Flexible Packaging ► Coating Rollers/Anilox Rollers ► Embossed/laser engraving ► Special Applications ► Scanning Services ◉ Flexography : ► Flexo Pre Press ► Plate Processing ► Quality Control➤ We learned a lot of things like printing, coating rollers process, how to design the layout, and from packing to dispatch. We got to learn a lot of new things in a variety of ways. ➨ Our polytechnic college (A. Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute,Kosamba had organized an Academic visit (workshop) on 26th March 2022 at R.N.G.PATEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY located in Bardoli, for the final year students of Mechanical Engineering Department. ➨ Total 70 students along with 4 faculty coordinators were there in the Visit. An Academic visit (Workshop) was organized in order to get the practical knowledge of CAD/CAM & Manufacturing System subjects.• This Academic visit is very helpful in practical Exposer through the resources available at other Institute.• Got practical knowledge about the advancement in technology.  Use of programming in field of CAD/CAM.• Precise cutting and surface finishing of the jobs.• Information on different parts & use of CNC machines with multiple cutting tools This Academic visit is very helpful in practical Exposer through the resources available at other Institute.• Got practical knowledge about the advancement in technology.• Use of programming in field of CAD/CAM. • Precise cutting and surface finishing of the jobs.• Information on different parts & use of CNC machines with multiple cutting tools.➨ We are thankful for all our faculties for organizing such an Informative visit for us in crucial for development of our practical skills regarding CAD/CAM & other activities. Our college (A. Y. Dadabhai technical Institute) had conducted the industrial visit on 12th march 2022 for enhance the knowledge of (Fabrication Technology) subject to a manufacturing unit “SAI ENTERPRISES”. ➤ SAI ENTERPRISE COMMITED PRODUCTION OF DIFEERENT PRODUCTS : • CLASSROOM FURNITURES • KIDS SPECIALS • OFFICE FURNITURE • LIBRARY FURNITURE • LABORATORY FURNITURE • CANTEEN FURNITURE • HOSTEL FURNITURE • SCHOOL BOARD AND STAND ➤ During the visit we know about industry systems how the industry manage the work and how the maintain the department efficiently and give the quality product as per schedule. ➤ Sai enterprise concerned with different shops and department which we have to visited like • Cutting section • Bending section • Welding section • Heat treatment • Grinding section also there is Carpentry shop. ➤ In cutting section, we visited and found the different cutting fixture used in job holding and safety precaution and safety tools used during the cutting operation. Also find the different catting parameters and specification required for effective cutting action. ➤ There is also a bending section in which there are latest bending machine work with numerical control operated and used dies for different types of job can be hold and bend as per required angles and different radius. ➤ We got more idea of welding processes and welding fixture used for work holding in welding section there are different welding machines works on different principles for metal joining like • Spot resistance welding • MIG Welding and TIG Welding • Oxy Acetylene gas welding We also checked the edge preparation of metal for joining ➤ Finally we were visited to heat treatment shop there is gas based furnace to heat the metal pipes and channels for proper hardening process and to ensure the get good required properties of metals for different products.➤ In this visit we also checked the different advance measuring tools for achieve quality of product and colour codes for safety and drawing symbols used in production drawing. Last we have complete our visit by assembly and dispatch section and carpentry shop Under this industrial visit we know the various aspects of the industries and how to industries work and progress by the different departments. We also learned that the how to use the knowledge of the Fabrication Technology in the industrial growth through the great utilization of industrial resources and design as well as use of different types of tools and devices. We also learn the different objectives of the Fabrication Technology for the industry and society improvement. ➤ So finally the concept of the Fabrication Technology is greatly understood by this visit under the guidance of our teachers and representative of different department engineers of the “SAI ENTERPRISE”.
